We have several opportunities for different swimmers to participate in meets this week.
Monday- The guppies are invited to the Guppy Meet at Country Club of Mobile. No need to register for this meet. Just show up at 8:45 and find our coaches/helpers. More info about this was emailed Friday and you can find it on the website under News and Updates.
Tuesday- All swimmers are invited to participate in our dual meet at the Country Club of Mobile. Warmups will begin at 4:15 and guppies will begin the meet at 5. Register using this Google Form by 6 pm Monday. We will be the only team there and CCM has 8 lanes. CCM's volunteers are working the entire meet, but since swimmers will have the option to compete in the IM AND distance free at this event, we would like to have shifts of volunteers. This means we will need lots of volunteers. Please sign up using Sign Up Genius.
CCM sent the following info:
Visiting Team Swimmer Area: Right corner of pool deck by baby pool (*Please don't let your swimmers get in the pool, we will have lifeguards making sure no one gets in the baby pool or dive well) Visiting Team Spectator Area: The Upstairs Balcony over the Restrooms. There are umbrellas that can be used for shade. We have a Snack Bar that will be open for food and beverage during the meet.
Thursday- The last opportunity to swim this week is a distance meet being held at West Mobile Swim Club. The IM and distance free will be the only events at this meet. This is designed for swimmers who missed the chance to compete in a distance event over the summer and need a time for City Meet or for swimmers who are very close to making their City Meet cut. For new swimmers, City Meet is a meet at the end of the season that swimmers must qualify to swim. City Meet qualifying times are posted on the website with all of the results. If you would like to swim this meet, please message Alison by Remind or text her at 251-300-1867 by Sunday at 6pm. We have to let Coach Evans know if we will have any swimmers participating by that time. I know that we are swimming these events at the CCM meet. If you need to swim the distance events but make the cut at CCM, we can scratch you from the meet so err on the side of caution and let me know you may want to swim at West Mobile.
